Overview
We use cookies and similar technologies to help our website function, keep your account secure, understand how people use our tools, and deliver content that feels relevant and helpful. Some cookies are essential for the site to work. Others are optional and used only if you choose to allow them. Some cookies are essential, while others are used only with your consent depending on your region.
You can update your cookie preferences at any time through our cookie settings.
Why We Use Cookies
Cookies help us provide a smooth, secure, and reliable experience. They allow us to:
- Keep you signed in and protect your account
- Remember your preferences including settings for accessibility
- Improve our products by understanding how people use them
- Offer content or ads that match your interests (only if you opt in)
Cookies act like small memory notes that your browser stores, so our site can work the way you expect.
How We Manage Consent
A website consent manager is a pop-up window or banner that lets you control how your personal data and cookies are tracked when you visit our sites.
What It Is
- A privacy tool that appears the first time you open a website.
- A control panel designed to give you choices about your digital privacy.
What It Does for You
- Asks for permission: It stops the website from collecting your browsing habits until you say it is okay.
- Lets you choose categories: It lets you accept or block specific types of tracking, such as essential site functions, performance analytics, or targeted advertisements.
- Remembers your choices: It saves your preferences so you do not have to see the pop-up on every single page you click.
- Allows changes later: It provides a permanent link or icon on the website so you can update or withdraw your consent at any time.
We use ConsentManager by Iubenda as our primary cookie banner and consent tool.
ConsentManager:
- Blocks optional cookies until you choose your preferences
- Applies the correct rules for your region
- Stores your consent choices
- Allows you to update or withdraw consent at any time
It sets cookies such as _cmpconsent and _cmpcpc_prefs to remember your selections. These store your consent choices, banner state, policy version, and category preferences.

How Regional Laws Apply
We follow the privacy and cookie rules that apply in each region where our users live. Our approach is designed to be transparent, respectful, and easy to understand.
GDPR (EU/UK), ePrivacy Directive, and PECR
These laws require clear consent rules:
- Strictly necessary cookies may be used without consent
- All other cookies require your opt-in consent
- You may change or withdraw consent at any time
- We do not set optional cookies until you make a choice
We do not set nonessential cookies until you have made a choice in the cookie banner.
California (CCPA/CPRA) and Similar Laws and Regulations
Residents of California (and residents of other states with similar laws) have specific rights over how their personal information is used, including rights related to “selling” or “sharing” personal information for cross-site advertising.
Under the CCPA/CPRA and similar laws and regulations, these state residents may:
- Know what personal information we collect and how we use it
- Request deletion of their personal information
- Opt out of activities that may be considered selling or sharing personal information
We do not currently offer a separate “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” link. Instead, we honor browser-based opt-out signals sent through Global Privacy Control (GPC). When GPC is enabled, we treat it as a request to opt out of any activity that could be considered selling or sharing under California law and other similar laws and regulations.
Our implementation of ConsentManager by Iubenda automatically:
- Detects and honors GPC signals
- Blocks optional cookies used for advertising or cross-site tracking when a GPC signal is present
- Applies California and other state-specific rules
- Stores and applies your opt-out choices
California and other state regulators recognize GPC as a valid opt-out mechanism. By honoring it automatically, we meet the requirements of these states while offering a more seamless and privacy-respectful experience than many platforms.
SOC 2
SOC 2 requires transparency about how systems behave and how data is protected. Our Cookie Policy supports these controls by documenting authentication, session, and security-related cookies, such as those used for “Authentication and single sign-on; access control for applications and APIs.”
Updates to This Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy to reflect changes in technology, legal requirements, or our practices. When we do, we will post the updated version with a revised “Last Updated” date.
